Last September, I received a message.
It was about a single sentence I had written on The Rookies bio page of Alpha Chromatica, where I mentioned that I was the co-creator of a Lighting program.
In response, I received this.
So I replied.
I received another message and eventually, I chose to remove the sentence.
Not because I agreed, but because I didn’t see the value in continuing the exchange
I’m sharing this now because I’ve seen how often the contributions of creators, developers, and educators, especially those working behind the scenes can quietly disappear from the story.
The students who were there already know what I did.
Without the original scenes I built, the program wouldn’t have had a working foundation.
Without those varied lighting scenarios, students wouldn’t have had the shots they needed to build their reels.
Reels that got them hired.
This post isn’t meant to persuade anyone.
It’s simply here to document something that mattered to me.
This is what I did.
And I could do it again because I actually did the work.
P.S. I used Trello back in the day to keep all my notes, task list, and development cycles and research on Katana.
