I was doing a lesson with one of my Chromaticons (a name not officially approved but one I'm starting to like), when I showed him how I usually get myself out of trouble mathematically.

This brings me to the concept of Happiness. I define Happiness as a state of inner Peace. Suppose we assign the maximum attainable happiness/peace a value of 8 (though any number would suffice). The crucial question that arises is how one can reach this number. It turns out that when examined mathematically, there exist an infinite number of paths to achieve it. For instance, 6+2, 2x4, (20/5)*2, and so on.

And that is what I am grateful for. There are an infinite ways to get to your chosen number and you shouldn't waste your time and life listening to people that tell you that there is only one way or a few ways to get there.

Over the past decade and a half, many people have often questioned why I've chosen to be a VFX trainer and lack movie credits. In fact, when I left my previous job a couple of months ago, this was the most frequent inquiry I received. My response was straightforward: it wasn't on my path. Moreover, they were posing the wrong question.

Upon arriving in Canada and being approached by Ria Ambrose Benard to teach, I recognized the potential to make a significant impact on VFX education. I decided to commit to it for two years. After that period, I discovered that I genuinely enjoyed it and wanted to explore how far I could run with it.

Personally, the satisfaction of educating someone well enough for them to pursue their desired careers in film and television fulfills me. Teaching is also only one aspect of my identity. Should the entire vfx industry implode, I will find some other way to help others.

When you measure yourself by other people's metrics, you are setting yourself up for a life of misery and disappointment. I've been around enough old people to know what to avoid in life.
