And it's not just a word, but it has the potential to transform every aspect of your life unexpectedly...
Three years ago, I abandoned the traditional New Year's resolutions and started focusing on just one word each year. Last year, my word was 'Move,' which inspired me to take action and initiate change. This year, I've chosen a new word that I believe will be as transformative: 'Reframe.'
The concept of 'Reframe' will guide me to look at situations, challenges, and experiences with a renewed perspective. It will be about unearthing the silver lining in every cloud, extracting valuable lessons from experiences, and identifying hidden opportunities in challenges.
As I venture into this year, reframing will be my tool to transform my problems into some opportunities, my perceived failures into a few valuable lessons, and obstacles into critical growth moments. I am hoping this mindset will not only nurture my resilience but also fuel innovation in my life. It will mark a shift from my Singaporean fixed mindset to a growth mindset, empowering me to continuously evolve, learn, and adapt.
Building on the momentum gained from last year's focus on 'Move,' I will leverage 'Reframe' to adjust my viewpoint and approach to life's varied scenarios. In photography, a slight change in angle can dramatically alter the perception of an image; similarly, a shift in my thinking will unveil new possibilities and pathways. I will not view setbacks as failures but as integral and necessary parts of my journey towards success. Each 'no' could be perceived as a stepping stone towards a 'yes,' and every closed door will be an opportunity to find an open window. It's about harnessing the power of perspective to my advantage.
As I embark on this deeply personal journey with 'Reframe' as my guiding mantra, I recognize the transformative power this perspective holds for me.
This year, I am committed to approaching both my professional and personal challenges with a new lens of possibility and positive change. I will focus on transforming my setbacks into setups for my own triumphs. By reframing not only the problems I encounter but also my approach to them, I will try to enact significant and meaningful changes in my life. This journey is one of self-discovery and personal growth, and I look forward to seeing where this new perspective takes me.
I am eager to discover how this simple yet profound shift in perspective will bring about transformative growth. Here's to a year filled with new viewpoints, discovering opportunities, and embracing the transformative power of 'Reframe.'
