Over the years, I've heard from many students esp in Vancouver that the school they were attending to study VFX didn't teach them much at all. Most students who considered quitting their previous school to take my program also mentioned that they knew more than the instructors at their schools.
However, that's not a problem at Alpha Chromatica. We have the opposite problem. We currently have four mentors and a Kuan Tsai! In a 20-week period, our mentors delivered over 100 hours of lectures, tips, and screenings! All of these were recorded and will be accessible to future classes.
The students are definitely getting their money's worth, and I wish I had this much attention paid to me when I was learning VFX.
Here is the spreadsheet where I track the mentors. Truth be told, they always go beyond the allocated time too. It's like they genuinely want their students to succeed and thrive in the industry!
